Critical Review | The Office - Last episode

Well, if you got here, you know that i will say some things that might contain spoilers!

SPOILER ALERT!!

What can i say about the last episode of THE OFFICE?
Let's go in parts, the first part starts a year after the events of the last episode, which shows the saga of Andy trying to be famous and failing the television test for an acapella singing contest.

Dwight and Angela finally get along, after a super cute advice from Jim (and what does he do that isn't?), He chases her in his car with the (illegal) police siren on and declares himself to her with a loudspeaker. She admits that Philip is really Dwight's son and he can finally call himself a father. The characters watch the recordings of the documentary, which we also "watch together" all these seasons ...

At the beginning of this episode, we see what happens 1 year later. The office is doing well, Stanley retires, Dwight decides to fire Kevin, leaving him resentful.

In addition, preparations for Dwigth and Angela's wedding begin, Jim is invited to be Best men (bestish mensh) and he organizes only good surprises, As he says. We can see a great demonstration of how their friendship grew and how they managed to evolve, although Dwight stipulated their previous relationship as "natural enemies", we can see how they became very close.

Another thing we can see is a meeting held by the broadcaster to revisit the characters of the documentary, which was very successful, we even see Oscar running for state senator.

At the meeting we see an exciting moment where Erin meets her parents who go to the meeting looking for her ...

Now that Pam and Jim have been fine again for over a year - despite seeing all of Jim's cute gestures to demonstrate that it's not being a burden to stay in Scranton and give up on his dream, we had the opportunity to see Pam demonstrate in a gesture of love that she believes in him, and in secret, put their house for sale so that they could move to Austin to accompany athelead.

Jim and pam forever

I thought it was wonderful, because I was really afraid of how unstable they were this last season and I understand that really being apart is not an option for this couple who love each other so much ❤️ (which we love too!), But it was amazing to see how they they managed to get over everything and demonstrated that they have a true love, renouncing their wishes in favor of the other. I once saw a poll on Facebook comparing the couples in the series, and one person posted a comment that I agree with: this couple is really out of the curve, they are on another level! At some other time I speak only of them!

Of course, speaking of Dwight there is no way to avoid being nonsense all those crazy rules of the Schrute family, there is a wedding with hay, groom and bride getting married in pits where they will be buried, Moses kidnapping the bride (which Jim took advantage of to make Dwight and Kevin, who now owns a bar, to become friends again)

Speaking of which, another Schrute rule - bestish mensh, which says that the best men cannot be younger than the groom, which in the case Jim is, made me almost cry, because we see Michael's return (too fast for My taste)  !! It was so good to see him in the plot, since he left, it seemed like the show was like a car with a wheel missing ... So it was amazing to see him there again. As I said it was a special appearance, and there was not much script for him, but he completed the scene!

We also saw Ryan, who is still as clueless as ever and now has a baby, which his mother abandoned, he and Kelly are reunited and already know what's going on, right ?!

It remained for her (ex) pediatric boyfriend to stay with the baby, who soon goes to Nellie, which we hope she can adopt properly. Ryan and Kelly run away together, who knows where.

We finally discover Creed's real identity and what he hides: he is wanted by the police, disappears but reappears at the wedding in disguise, after all he gives an emotional speech and gets arrested!

It is also marked here the nostalgia of the episode that mixes recorded scenes (from past seasons) as a memory, and the story of Jim and Pam. And she giving a speech on how to seize opportunities and not waste time, at the very end (before being arrested), Creed sings a song for the crowd gathered for one last time and there is that bittersweet atmosphere of nostalgia, longing and joy for a show as fun and innovative as that! And as a monotonous company, it can be super interesting for the company of real (and crazy) people!

They closed the series' finale with another little scene from Michael and Dwight on the dance floor having fun! It was a very cool episode that knew how to tie the ends and gave a dignified ending to the series!

Critical Review | The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964)

The movie  "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" (LES PARAPLUIES DE CHERBOURG) debuted in 1964, and was part of the novelle vague movement.

The movie is retreated in France of the fifties and tells us the story of the french young woman Geneviève and the auto mechanic Guy. She works in her mother's umbrella store.
They start a relationship and she gets pregnant, then he needs to enter the army and help in Algeria.

Something very special and different a bout this movie is the dialogues, they are all made through music! This can tire you if you are not a huge fan of the genre, but i liked very much! It is so innovative! Especially when we observe the release year: 1964!

One thing that catches my attention is the movie costumes, especially the the ones that the principal actress uses, it is astonishing. They combined the wardrobe of the characters with the pallet of colors used in the scenes.
